Zendaya, Maude Apatow mourn 'Euphoria' co-star Angus Cloud … – USA TODAY

Angus Cloud was a brother to his “Euphoria” castmates, even when the cameras stopped rolling.
In a statement the actor’s representative shared with USA TODAY, they wrote, “Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.”
An outpouring of tributes to the actor, best known for his charming role of Fezco on the Max drama, started soon after news of the 25-year-old’s death became public.
Cloud’s family did not share a cause of death on Monday.
Zendaya, who plays Fezco’s close friend Rue Bennett on the Max show, paid tribute to the late actor on Instagram Tuesday. “Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor),” she began her post, sharing a black-and-white photo of Cloud.
“I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I’m smiling now just thinking of it) I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love…’they could light up any room they entered’ but boy let me tell you, he was the best at it,” Zendaya continued.
“I’d like to remember him that way. For all of the boundless light, love and joy he always managed to give us. I’ll cherish every moment. My heart is with his mother and family at this time and please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone.”
Maude Apatow, who portrayed Cloud’s budding love interest in Season 2 of “Euphoria,” remembered her co-star as the “funniest person ever.”
“I would get so excited to see on the schedule that we would be working together because I knew we’d have the best day, laughing so hard,” Apatow wrote on Instagram, along with a series of photos with Cloud on and off set.

She continued: “He was the sweetest and made everyone around him so happy. He was just the best. Words can’t really capture how magical of a person he was. My heart is broken.”
“Angus, getting to know and work with you was one of the greatest joys and blessings of my life. I will love you forever,” the actress ended her tribute.
Actor and boxer Javon “Wanna” Walton, who portrayed Ashtray, the adopted younger brother of Cloud’s Fezco, posted a photo with the late actor to his Instagram Story with a simple tribute: “forever family ♥.”

Walton also shared a photo of the two hugging with the caption “rest easy brother.”
During the red carpet for Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event last summer, where Cloud was honored, the two reunited and caught up with Entertainment Tonight.
“Anything we do, we support each other,” Cloud said of Walton at the time, and called him “family.”
“Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson told The Associated Press in a statement that “there was no one quite like Angus.”
“He was too special, too talented and way too young to leave us so soon,” Levinson added. “He also struggled, like many of us, with addiction and depression. I hope he knew how many hearts he touched. I loved him. I always will. Rest in peace and God bless his family.”
Sydney Sweeney paid tribute to her friend and costar by posting a series of photos and a video of herself with Cloud.
The actress, who plays Cassie Howard, wrote in the caption, “Angus you were an open soul, with the kindest heart, and you filled every room with laughter. This is the hardest thing ive ever had to post, and im struggling to find all the words.”

The post continued, “You will be missed more than you know, but I’m so blessed to have known you in this lifetime, and I’m sure everyone who has ever met you feels the same. This heartache is real and I wish we could’ve had one more hug and 711 run. All my love is with you. 🖤”
Model and actress Hunter Schafer, who plays Rue’s love interest Jules in “Euphoria,” penned a tribute to Cloud on Wednesday. “been trying to figure out what to say, but idk if any combination of words can articulate all of the big feelings,” she wrote. “for now i just wanna say: Angus was a sunshine. to have known his warmth, his light, and his love was nothing short of a gift.”
Schafer added she felt “grateful to have shared so many enormous fits of laughter, so many sweet emotions, and the joy of getting to make something together that we loved so much.”
“i love you angus 💗 thank you for everything,” she concluded. “my heart goes out to his family and his loved ones and family right now.”

Musician and “Euphoria” Season 2 castmate Dominic Fike paid tribute to Cloud during his show at the 713 Music Hall in Houston. “I guess I lost a friend of mine recently. He died the other night, which is wild to say because I don’t deal with grief often. I haven’t had a lot of death happen around me, and this was the first time I feel like I knew the person well enough to cry over and feel something. It was weird,” he told the crowd as he strummed his guitar.
“I sometimes look at people like sparks. I zoom out, and I think people have wavelengths. If you zoom out far enough, you see some people — probably not a lot of us at all — but I think if you zoomed out millions of miles, you would see this kid’s spark,” he said of Cloud. “You could see it from so far away, even if it was a short flash. He would light up a room, any room he walked in.”
Fike added that although he “felt stupid” about performing, he believed Cloud “would’ve wanted me to do that. He would’ve been like, ‘No, do the show, have fun.'”
Alexa Demie, who plays Maddy Perez, posted a broken heart emoji against a black background on her Instagram Story.
Barbie Ferreira, who plays Kat Fernandez in the series, shared a portrait of Cloud on Instagram and wrote, “I love you so much. you will be missed tremendously.”
Storm Reid, sister to Zendaya’s character Rue on “Euphoria,” shared a clip from an episode of the show and wrote, “the tears just won’t stop.”
Drake, who’s an executive producer of “Euphoria,” shared a photo of Cloud to his Instagram Story, calling the actor a “good soul.”

Becky G, who cast Cloud in her and Karol G’s 2022 “Mamiii” music video, wrote on her Instagram Story: “Angus, I’ll never forget talking about what it meant to be some Cali kids doing it big. You really didn’t care about the flashy lights or fancy events. Your rawness and authenticity were my favorite things about being around you. Truly at a loss for words…”
Model Gigi Hadid shared a video of the two dancing in an ad for Ralph Lauren and recalled being “immediately drawn” to him.

“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone.”
