Britney Spears had an abortion after falling pregnant with Justin Timberlake’s baby and it’s now been revealed that the procedure was performed at home
Britney Spears has revealed she was left in "excruciating" pain after going through a home abortion.
The 41-year-old singer fell pregnant with Justin Timberlake's baby, but decided to have an abortion as he thought they were "too young" to be parents. Writing in her upcoming memoir, The Woman in Me, Britney said the decision was "one of the most agonising things I have ever experienced in my life."
She claimed she made an agreement with Justin that no one would find out she was pregnant and so decided to terminate the pregnancy at home, without a doctor. Britney also decided not to tell her family about the pregnancy.

"It was important that no one find out about the pregnancy or the abortion, which meant doing everything at home," she wrote. Britney described the at home procedure as "excruciating" and said the medication caused her severe physical pain.
In an extract from her memoir, seen by TMZ, Britney described being on the bathroom floor in tears, with Justin trying to comfort her by playing music. Britney said she "kept crying and sobbing" until it was all over and said it "took hours".
The singer said while she doesn't remember how it ended, she still remembers the pain of it. Opening up about her decision in the memoir, Britney wrote: "I'm sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby. I don't know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn't want to be a father."
Britney and Justin started dating when they were 17 and 18 back in 1998, having met on the set of The Mickey Mouse Club five years earlier. They remained a couple until 2002. Justin went on to release his 2002 song, Cry Me a River, the second track from his debut album. Reports suggested the song was about Britney's infidelity, as she was accused of cheating with Wade Robson, something she also mentions in her memoir.
For years there were rumours of her infidelity, but she had remained tight-lipped about it. Now, Britney has admitted to cheating on Justin with Wade. However, she says it happened after she found out the Cry Me A River singer had been unfaithful.
